Fail-safe communication, telephone system with integrated IP telephony
At SIMOS (Stuttgarter Leitstelle für Sicherheit und Mobilität), the control centres for the fire department and rescue services as well as the command and situation centre for extraordinary events and catastrophes are bundled with the traffic control centre of the city of Stuttgart under a single roof.
In an order from EnBW, the service provider for the communications infrastructure of the city of Stuttgart, NK Networks & Services equipped the Stuttgart control centre with a telephone system for 490 subscribers and integrated 30 IP telephones. Through the security of triple redundancy, the supplied telephone system offers fail-safe communication over typical fixed network connections as well as over the PSTN network and the IP data network. The emergency call systems of the various emergency services are connected through the delivered alarm server to the phone system, which is also connected to the response control computer.
