Transmode Announces Winners of 2009 Value Added Reseller Awards
Stockholm, Sweden – 24th November 2009 – Transmode, a leading provider of optical networking solutions, today announced the winners of the company’s 2009 Most Successful VAR and Service Partner awards.
During Transmode’s recent Value Added Reseller (VAR) Conference held in Paris, Transmode announced the winners of the company’s 2009 VAR Awards. The two awards were for “Most Successful VAR 2009”, based on revenue shipped in 2008, and for the “Service Partner 2009”, presented to the VAR that extended its Transmode customer base with a particular focus on customer services.
German integrator NK Networks & Services GmbH won the Most Successful VAR award. Under the brand Axians, NK Networks & Services is a leading German network integrator with over 15 customers using Transmode products, including enterprises, utility companies, ISPs, Cable TV operators and service providers.

SAK Data of Toronto, Canada won the Service Partner award by extending its installed based of customers even further while offering customers extensive value added services. SAK Data’s customer base includes the regional carrier Ontera, local exchange carriers Sogetel and Groupe Warwick Telecom, as well as other alternative carriers and cable operators.
“This award is a further example of the excellent working relationship between SAK Data and Transmode and results achieved from our partnership,” said Kevin Sakamoto, Optical Networking Product Manager at SAK Data. “Our focus on providing the customer with the right products and services has been well received and by differentiating the company along these lines we have created a strong business with a human touch that can often be missing in business elsewhere.”
Both winners were presented with a trophy by Transmode’s VP Sales, Bjorn Andersson during the VAR conference, which was held to update the Transmode VAR network on recent product developments and company news.
